Adagio to double portfolio by 2023

France: Aparthotels Adagio plans to double its portfolio to 220 properties worldwide by 2023.

The brand currently has 105 aparthotels, and will reach 116 by the end of this year. Its portfolio totals more than 13,000 keys in 12 countries across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia.

UK locations include Liverpool, Birmingham and Edinburgh. The first Adagio Aparthotel opened in London's Brentford earlier this year, and it is set to launch a property in Leicester.

The brand also recently opened properties in France and Casablanca, Morocco. This summer will see two further openings in Paris and one in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Properties signed and under construction include Brussels, Kiel, London, Suresnes, Zurich, Glasgow, Dubai, Freigburg, Bucharest, and Sochi.

Thomas Lamson, chief development and projects officer, said: "2019 marks a major turning point for Adagio. Beyond the many openings scheduled, we plan to sign more than twenty new contracts worldwide this year. These new signings are regardless of the management mode, whether they're lease, management or franchise"

Adagio is a joint venture between Accor and Pierre and Vacances Center Parcs Group.

It is a sponsor of the 2019 Serviced Apartment Summit Europe which takes place in London on July 1 and 2.
