Orbis takes master license for Adagio in Eastern Europe

Polish hotel group Orbis, the largest hotel chain in Poland and Central Europe, has acquired the master license for the Adagio aparthotel brand in Eastern Europe.

The agreement with French group Adagio SAS, a joint venture between AccorHotels and Pierre & Vacances Centre-Parcs, gives Orbis the right to develop hotels under the Adagio, Adagio Access and Adagio Premium brands in eight Eastern European countries - Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The master franchise agreement is for a period of 15 years, with an option to extend it for a further five years.

Orbis owns 117 hotels and is the only hotel company that holds the licenses for all Accor brands in 16 countries in the region. Its hotels operate under the Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Novotel, Mercure, ibis, ibis Styles and ibis budget brands.

“The last two days have been great. There’s been a really, really diverse group, but not such a large audience that we couldn't get to know each other and really spend more quality time together. I was really excited to hear that Recharge rotates around to different markets across Europe. So it will definitely be on my agenda for next year.”
